Tikehau is a beautiful island with lovely people. It is flanked on one side by the ocean (difficult to access for swimming due to the presence of a barrier reef) and the interior lake with its beautiful crystal-clear water. The best place to enjoy its waters is in the interior lake.

The beaches are great regardless of where you are staying. And if you have transport that enables you to visit the islets in the interior, so much the better because there are a lot of them: Hararu, Ohini, Puarua, Oeoe, Teavatia and Tuheraera, the main one.

Useful information

If your accommodation is a considerable distance from the beach or you plan to spend a long time enjoying the surroundings and taking incredible pictures, you might want to bring water, food or whatever you are going to need, such as snorkeling equipment.
