Description of the activity

This is an indispensable activity. Spend the whole day on a boat making three stops to snorkel and eat. Put like that it doesn’t sound like a big deal, but the story changes if we tell you that you swim with lemon sharks and blacktip sharks (both harmless) at the first stop, with rays at the second and at the third you dive into an incredible coral garden next to a motu where the water is a dreamy turquoise color and, to top it off, you have lunch on a private motu in the lagoon itself while sharing a table with rays. And what a motu! Straight out of a movie.

Useful information

To go into a bit more detail they pick you up near your accommodation, explain what they have planned for you during the day and the adventure begins to the sound of the ukulele and traditional songs. Good vibes come as standard. The instructors explain everything about the places, the animals and the people’s traditions. How they teach you the traditional way for men to wear a sarong and different styles for women is fascinating. They also teach you how to open a coconut and extract the milk that is so important to the cuisine of Tahiti and its islands.

About the tour company

We did the excursion with Lagoon Service and were impressed with the friendly, efficient service in keeping with the Polynesian character. We have no complaints, it was great.

There are other half-day options but we did the full-day option with lunch. The truth is that we were very satisfied because the food was delicious and enlivened with a series of entertaining activities with origins in Polynesian culture. We recommend this option.
